The sweet smell of spring...open windows and the sweet smell of blooming jasmine wafting through my windows at night! I wish it could last forever...
The sight of blooming roses as I look out my kitchen windows doing dishes...
Finding teeny tiny little hummingbird nests in my garden...
Listening to the momma bird feed her hungry little peeps chirping their brains out outside my french doors!
going out in my back yard to check on my growing little apricots espaliered on
my garden wall! I check on them everyday to make sure the darlings are OK! Can you see them?
and ...My sons sports seasons are drawing to a summers end! I must say I'm ready for a break, I'm ready for no school, no homework, no plans and and lazy mornings at home. Hopefully I'll have the time to sit down with a tall glass of ice tea and blog with my friends!! Life has been fast and furious these days (truly a blessing) , I don't know how all of you diligent bloggers' do it! Where do you find the time to do it all... I find when I'm being really good at one thing ...something else is sliding!! I miss all of you in blog ville...
Until next time:)
~Debra

Debra,
I am so glad you are back!!! You have been missed!!! I love all of your spring photos!!! I love this time of year and try to be outside as often as I can!!!
Come by and check out my new blog. I am blogging under the name Mille Fleur now instead of Pennies and Peonies due to some technical difficulties. I became a follower of yours when I started up again and I am so glad you posted so I could catch up with you!!!
I hope to hear from you soon!!! Have a wonderful day!!!
XOXO

I know life can be crazy and very hectic at times. So glad to see all is well, even though very busy. Make time for yourself, you so deserve to sit in your beautiful garden and drink your tea and do nothing for awhile. Happy Memorial Day!!
So glad to "hear" your voice. I don't mind telling you that you've been missed.
I'm on my way out the door to smell my jasmine before it's all over!
Debbie
I can smell the Jasmine from here! It's all lovely, I too am ready for a long lazy summer.
Hey Debra,
So glad your back!
You have been missed!
Your garden is fabulous!
I know what you mean about finding time for everything. I just started my blog and can't seem to find the time to update it like I would like to. I did get pictures of some of my mothers quilts on there.
I hope everyone will be patient with me and keep checking back because I know it will get better.
I am greatful for your inspiration! Your home is so beautiful it inspires me every time I see it!
Keep posting pictures! Please
Thank's and enjoy your tea!
Denise

Hi Debra! I'm so glad to see a new post!! I love the elegance of your blog!! I have never even thought about a hummingbird nest and have never seen one! Adorable! I love to watch them feed out back! Your garden is gorgeous and I love the French espar..(forgot spelling!)lol Sooo pretty!! Have a great weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
It is hard to keep up with it all...especially this time of year. That wall with the apricots is soooo cool. I love that method (I can't spell it lol) of growing trees. I wish we had a wall to try it on. It's probably a lot of work but the effect is soooo beautiful!
Your flowers are beautiful! Our Jasmine has been blooming too and the whole yard smells so sweet:) How wonderful that you are growing apricots, I would love to have apricot trees!
Blessings,
Kim
I am so ready for the summer brea witht he kids as well. Hope you are well. We are painting the house outside currently...
Hi there!! I just found your blog during a lengthy computer session, and have been having a fabulous time!! You new look in your kitchen is FABULOUS!!! It's just what I would love to have. Bright, light and airy. It's yummy. I just started my own home and garden blog for fun, although I've been playing with my art blog for a few months now. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful things. Especially the brown transferware. I had a great time.

Good to see you back and posting! I just do a little each morning....
It's all balance. Plus my daughter is grown. That makes a big difference too.
Have a great week!

Debra,
Your photo's are so sweet. You really captured the essence of your beautiful garden. I love the old wall and the apricot tree is something I truly envy. Ship some to me. please!! :-)
I totally agree with you about posting and letting something else slide. In my case it is reading. Books. And since reading is such a big part of blogging, I think I am going blind!
I hope to see you back soon now that things are slowing down a bit.
xoxo

Enjoyed reading your blog today..still finding my way around blogland....I always love making new friends..I am posting about Disney so hope you will stop by. Commenting automatically puts you in the drawing for the June giveaway.
I Debra, love your roses and apricots. I haven't been blogging either. Summer is just too much on the run and not much down time. I am enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon since it started out rainy. Hope you are doing well, and glad you have time to do the sports thing with you children. They grow up too fast. blessings, carrell
Beautiful garden and view! I love the little hummingbird nest you found.
Ok Debra- this is getting chrazy. Where are you? I am missing you. We are having crazy hot California type weather here...with a little Seattle rain schedule mixed in. Frustrating me when I am trying to paint the house, but at least it brings the temps down from 100 degrees- seriously!
Come visit soon!
Anita
Hi Debra. I too, have been buzzing all spring and summer without much blogging. We are so busy in the summer with horse shows. My husband is an equine vet and in charge of inspections of the Tennessee Walking Horse at shows so we have been gone, gone, gone. Love your Jazmine vines. I can almost smell them. Mine have not bloomed yet, but they bloom later here. Have a great rest of summer. blessings, carrell
